Text messaging & consent
Effective date: October 22, 2026
Understand how Atlas Financial Co. DBA Global Financial Corp records permission to send account texts and how you can change your choices.
Review our SMS Privacy Policy, messaging terms and blank permission form.
1. Account text messages
Atlas Financial Co. DBA Global Financial Corp sends account and payment-related text messages to customers who have given permission. Messages may include payment reminders, past-due account notices, payment confirmations, servicing updates and replies to your account questions. Messages may contain a link to your account or payment portal.
Message frequency varies with account activity and servicing needs. Message and data rates may apply. Text messaging is optional and is not a condition of making a payment or receiving service. Your financing obligations are governed by your loan documents.
Reply STOP to stop text messages or HELP for assistance. You can also contact us at (216) 458-3100 or info@gfcfinance.com. If you previously stopped messages and want to receive them again, reply START to the same Global Financial texting number. Delivery is subject to your mobile carrier; carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Please read our Privacy Policy and Website Terms of Use. We do not sell or share mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data or messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
2. Permission in your finance paperwork
At the dealership, customers provide their contact information and sign the Atlas Financial Co Permission to Verify form as part of their finance paperwork. The form names Atlas Financial Co directly and includes authorization to contact the customer by text or SMS at the telephone number provided, including a cellular number.
You can view the blank Permission to Verify form. This is an uncompleted copy of the supplied form, with no customer information or signature. Read it together with the SMS Privacy Policy and the messaging terms above.
A loan assignment by itself is not treated as a new text-message opt-in. Your permission must be specific to Global Financial. Viewing or downloading this page does not enroll you in messages.
3. Your choices in the customer portal
Sign in to the Global Financial customer portal, open Account settings and find Communication preferences. Read the text-message disclosure, choose whether to allow text messages and save your preferences. Text messages and automated calls have separate choices.
Customers who need an initial consent choice, including collection-only accounts, see an optional prompt. The choices start unchecked, and customers may continue without opting in. The system records the choice, phone number, date and consent wording. You can change your choices later in Account settings.
If you have replied STOP, changing a portal preference alone does not remove the mobile messaging block. You must also reply START to the Global Financial texting number to resume texts.
See the portal consent screen example. The example uses fictional details to show the screen; it is not a customer consent record.
4. Permission during a customer call
When you ask a staff member to update permission during a call, the staff member reviews the text-message disclosure with you and records your affirmative agreement, the selected contact method and a call reference. The record includes the staff member and timestamp. A staff update does not override a previous STOP message.
The text-message disclosure is: “I agree to receive account and payment-related text messages from Atlas Financial Co. DBA Global Financial Corp at my phone number. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent is optional and is not a condition of payment or service.”
The Privacy Policy and messaging terms are available here at any time. For help with your preferences, contact Global Financial.
